FREEDOM!
Christmas
-The time of year that was at one point in history designated to celebrate the savior's birth.
-A time that is used as an excuse for people to go crazy with buying gifts, throwing parties, attending Parades, going on vacation, preparing meals, and forgetting what the true meaning of Christmas was at one point

Salvation by Works...?
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the House. In the same way let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven
Matthew 5.14-16
In the Catholic church there is a belief that one can be saved by doing good deeds. Giving to the Poor, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, doing all you can to help...People believe that just by doing these good works they will be accepted into Heaven. And in all honesty...they are not totally wrong. Yes their salvation is not from their works, but their relationship with the Lord; but without good works how can we show our faith? Is it even possible? You can't claim to be a christian then sit around all day not showing a bit of care to the world.
But someone will say, "you have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do
James 2.18
As the body without the Spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
James 2.26
You salvation is not by what you do...but did you ever think that someone elses salvation might be riding on what you do? You minister through actions more than you do words. You could preach all day until your face went blue, but if you didn't show your faith, how could they understand? You can't expect people to just agree with your views and say, "Why that sounds wonderful I think I will believe everything you say." People don't do that, unless they don't have an original thought in their head.
The group you could be ministering to could be laughing and cracking jokes at you and your beliefs, but you show them your love, your joy, you peace, compassion...they can't help but wonder if there isn't something more than just merely existing. Salvation by works...yeah, I agree with that. It's not my salvation but it's that one person, that I could unknowingly affect so much by simple acts of love...I could save them. Me! I could lead someone to Christ just by doing what I should be doing. Loving my fellow man, taking care of them... Showing them what it really means to be a Christian.

The feel good post of the year!
Two people...just imagine it...both incredibly stupid/stubborn.. an epic battle...ok maybe not an epic battle..but still... So these two people are dating. Neither of them like the other...ok well the boy still likes the girl but the girl is an idiot and he's getting sick of her and the way she treats him. He's to nice to dump her and she's to spineless to dump him. So they are going to be miserable forever and ever... ain't life grand?

The Glorious Anatomy
*Disclaimer at Bottom*
John 1.14- The Word Became Flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory and the glory of the one and only, who came from the Father full of Grace and truth
So, I've been asking questions lately, a couple which I know the answer to but don't like it, and a couple that no one seems to have an answer to. Then I had a question that popped up when I was doing my Bible homework. With us being made in God's image what all did Jesus have to change to become man? Did he have any change in the way he looked? Obviously he had to look like a human and not like God, but what all changed?
His appearance may not have changed greatly but he did change. Jesus' becoming man took away certain abilities that made him 'God'. First when he became human he lost his ability to be omnipresent. Obviously seeing as he was confined to a human body. Was he also omniscient? Did he still know everything? Some say that He knew all that he was supposed to.
Mark 13:32- "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
But if Jesus wasn't omniscient...is he still God? John 1.1-2 states, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the word was God. He was with God in the beginning."
So Jesus is God.
That's all lovely but what other confinements were there? The Bible says he became man, not he became like man, but he became man.
Is there a chance that there is a differance in the anatomy of Humans compared to God? people just assume God looks like us, because we were made in his image. The Bible never said physical image, there is a good chance that it could mean that it's Spiritually we were made in his image.
There's a possibilty that the reason Jesus had to become man was because God has a 'glorious anatomy' not a physical one. He had no need of a physical body, until he sent his son to earth.

There was a storm so I thought I'd post this....
I am the show, and you are the sound.
I dance to earth, while you shake the ground.
You are the warning, and I am the threat
but you wait for me, for we are nature’s duet.
You are most brave, for I cause such fear
and yet I know you will always be near.
You stand beside me, holding me tight
As we make music during the night.
You are shapeless while I have form
we are cause-and-effect throughout the storm
I run quickly while you follow steadily
and when I call, you come to me readily
Thunder and Lightning dance in the Sky
forever we are known as nature’s lullaby
You are not seen but I am not heard
but I am your brilliance, and you my word.
I dance to earth, while you shake the ground.
You are the warning, and I am the threat
